Worried that online classes may not be for you? The format may be different, but with the right approach, motivation and commitment, you can make your experience a success InshaAllah.
Here are a few tips to help you be a smart online learner at Sharia Academy
- Establish a schedule - Decide a good time to study and designate specific time slots for your SAA class each week.
- Stay on track – Be consistent and keep up with all your assignments. If you fall behind, and leave everything to the end, you may become overwhelmed.
- Take it seriously - Prepare and approach each online class just as you would any other class. Online classes require just as much effort as regular classes
- Seek Guidance - Our instructors are here for you! Utilize the weekly discussion sessions to ask questions or raise concerns. Call or email them if you need help.
- Get study partners – Don’t isolate yourself. Connect with other students and find ways to learn together.
- Find a "supporter" - If you find it hard to stay motivated, get someone who can offer constant encouragement to keep you going.
- Focus on the ultimate goal - Seeking knowledge is an obligation for all Muslims. Make your Islamic education a priority and remind yourself constantly of the infinite rewards that come with a better comprehension of your deen.
